About the product
Moulting is a natural part of life for quail and chickens. During this period the plumage is replaced, and the body uses a lot of energy to grow new feathers.
Some quail may seem more tired during moulting. Egg laying may stop, and nutritional needs are higher than usual. It can then be useful to support the quail with a supplement made for exactly this phase.
Mauser-Fit from federgold® contains selected vitamins, minerals and amino acids that can support the quail through moulting. Among other things, the product contains B vitamins, vitamin E, calcium and methionine. Methionine is an amino acid that is important for feather growth.
The supplement is mixed into the drinking water and can be used before, during and after moulting.

Practical advice
Avoid unnecessary handling of the quail during moulting. New pin feathers can be tender and sensitive. Consider waiting with moving, major cleaning and other stressful changes until the moult is over.
